KINGSCLIFF
The region running from Kingscliff in the north to Pottsville in the south is emerging as a lifestyle and leisure resort area with sea front cafes and a taste of the good life. The beaches in this part of the world all bear the “made in heaven” brand name. Two stretches of long golden sweeps cradled between headlands with world class surf breaks and reef breaks on Kingscliff’s southern edge.
Kingscliff is a seaside town at the northern end of what is known as the Tweed Coast with a population of approximately 6000 people. Apart from Kingscliff the Tweed Coast includes Fingal Head, Salt, Casuarina Beach, Cabarita Beach, Hastings Point and Pottsville.
Kingscliff not only has a surf beach patrolled by a voluntary surf lifesaving club, but also Cudgen Creek which provides a safe haven for both adults and children wanting a still water swim and the boating access to the outer reef for keen boaties, fishermen and divers.
Along with the outstanding restaurants and boutique stores along Marine Parade, a large supermarket and shopping centre with a number of variety stores provides excellent shopping facilities.
Kingscliff provides both public and private schools primary schools, a public high school and a T.A.F.E College.
Public and private hospitals are located only 10 minutes away in Tweed Heads and Tugun. An abundance of local doctors and an ambulance station provide excellent medical services when required.
A first-rate bus service provides public transport throughout the Shire and being just over an hour from Brisbane and only 15mins from the Gold Coast Airport, Kingscliff residents have quick and easy access to the M1 highway connecting Brisbane to Byron Bay.
